* Events: Clean Cornwall Week (15-23 September)

  Printer-friendly page Print this story

Events Clean Cornwall Week is actually a nine day period in September...

Clean Cornwall Week takes place between 15th and 23rd September. It coincides with the Marine Conservation Society's annual Beachwatch event which will take place over the first weekend.

Clean Cornwall Week is all about raising awareness of the problem of litter in Cornwall and the impact it has on our lives. It's not only a great opportunity for like minded people to "do their bit" but will also highlight the great work which is already being done by individuals and communities across Cornwall. We all believe that Cornwall is a special place and we want to keep it that way!

Anybody who wants to help can join an organised activity. Community groups, businesses, pubs, clubs and local neighbourhoods can all do their bit.

Further information about events linked to the Clean Cornwall Week are available from Teresa Timms who can be contacted by e-mailing Teresa.timms@cornwallenterprise.co.uk or phoning 01872 322907. Our website will be available soon where you will be able register as a volunteer, take a look at the events which are being organised so far, or add your own event. There will also be some useful and important advice about what you need to do if you are planning to organise an event for the first time so why not check out the website soon on www.cleancornwall.org.
